BioI have one horse, Meeko. He is a paint/arabian that I have had for 8 years. He became part of my family on November 6, 1996.
Meeko was born June 21, 1991. I have talked to the people who owned him and his mother at that time. However, from about age 2 until I got him his history is unknown. That's when the abuse happened.
He was skin and bones when I first saw him. I worked with him, trained him, and loved him for a year. That next show season we were 3rd in the state for our division.
We showed only that year and then found it wasn't for us. Now we just pleasure ride and love one another. He fell in 2002 and got what's called hunter's bump. His pelvic bone and spinal cord are connected by a ligament, and he either streched or tore that ligament. He was on stall rest for almost a year, but is now in very good shape. He also has arthritis in his hocks, and they get very sore.
That is the short story of up until now. This journal will be for him, and probably only have horse related entires. I do have a normal journal as well-
